First there’s the bad news.
San Francisco Bay Area Says, ‘No Gas for You!’
ZeroHedge: According to new amendments, only “zero NOx” water heaters can be sold or installed in the Bay Area beginning in 2027. Two years later in 2029, only zero NOx furnaces will be allowed to be sold or installed in the region. And in 2031, new commercial water heaters in the Bay Area will have to meet zero NOx standards.
…federal agencies have indicated that they are considering tougher restrictions on these appliances.
In February, Richard Trumka Jr., commissioner for the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), stated that the federal government could ban natural gas stoves.
Epoch Times: If adopted, the Bay Area’s amendment updates are expected to affect roughly two-thirds of all households in the region estimated to use natural gas appliances. The development could hit such households financially as gas heating tends to be cheaper than alternatives like electricity.
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, average household spending on natural gas heating in the United States for winter 2022–23 was pegged at $931, far cheaper than the average spending on heating via electricity at $1,359.

With the stroke of his pen, President Biden comes out with another:
Executive Order on Reducing Gun Violence and Making Our Communities Safer
Generally speaking, this EO is putting the ‘how’ into the ridiculously named Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA). Ridiculous because House vote Yeas and Nays were 234 - 193; Senate 65 - 33. This order allows the alphabet agencies (DOJ, FBI, DHS, Dept of Ed, etc.) to go through the BSCA and implement as they see fit.
It blames a lawful industry — not criminals pulling triggers — for firearm related violence, and lets these agencies base their decision on that frame of thought.
Federal agencies will have carte blanch to do whatever they can “to encourage effective use of ‘red flag’ laws.”
In what ways will they encourage citizens to decide that their neighbors are ‘too dangerous’ to own guns?
The police will take any arms that person has while the case makes its way through the court.
How many activist liberal Judges do we have? These judicial officials do not base their decisions on the Constitution but their ideologies.

What will Attorney General, Merrick Garland’s, background check process look like?
President Biden knows he can only go so far via EOs. He continues to pressure Congress to ban all private firearm transfers, “assault weapons” (whatever those are; almost any object could be used as an assault weapon) and high-capacity magazines (yet to be defined).
