Parents often overlook the potential pitfalls
. . . of granting their children access to social media. Once issues arise, wresting it away becomes a Herculean task compared to simply avoiding it altogether from the start. This truly is the biggest parental unforced error.
Beyond the concerning issues such as indoctrination, sex trafficking, and the erosion of self-esteem that social media can facilitate, there's also the matter of screen time's impact on developing minds - which, physiologically speaking, offers no discernible benefits.
While many families are waking up to the dangers posed by government K-12, the reality is that many households can't immediately alter their logistical or financial circumstances to withdraw their children. If exposure to indoctrination via Social Emotional Learning (SEL) at school is compounded by reinforcement through social media at home, the odds of countering this brainwashing lowers to near zero.
